A little about me!

I
am a huge nerd at heart. All that I have learned about computers is from where the rubber meets the road, getting your hands in the work is where the real knowledge comes from, trial and error.. you know the way it goes. You can read book after book and get a lot of information but for it to really stick it needs to be in the trenches where you have to perform. I have found that I have learned the most from the hours I have spent working out computer and software issues that arise and assisting others with their home computers and networks. I have a passion for building websites, using open source CMS such as Joomla and Drupal my favorite part is the graphics of it, I have a real passion for the designing of the sites, the user interface per say, my tools of choice are Photoshop and Dreamweaver, but I have called on many other applications to meet certain needs. When someone says “I love your website” that is gratifying enough for me, that tells me I have done what I set out to do. Over the years I have worked with several different operating systems such as Linux, windows, Mac, etc. I have this unquenchable desire to learn new things and new software, i have found that I have a unique ability to pick up new things rather quickly. I also enjoy freelance art; I have created many pieces using graphite on paper… Yeah I know, it’s not digital but there is something intimate about art when it comes to raw media, to create something by hand is a God given talent that I will always love.
I
n what little free time I have, I love to play online games with my kids and blog with my friends and family. That all makes me sound like a homebody but I do enjoy spending time with my family out on the town, playing golf when I can, as well as bowling and fishing. If I was to choose a favorite thing to do, I would choose to sit in my living room in front of a roaring fire with my family and a good glass of wine, time goes to fast and it's the small things you will remember the most.

urniture building a.k.a. cabinet making is one of my favorite past times as well. I have roughly 20 plus years of experience in the design and manufacturing industry of custom built cabinetry. I enjoy building furniture pieces for family and friends. Woodworking is another form of art that can be an amazing form of expression and design that outlasts time. The majority of the pieces I build are of unique woods and one of a kind designs that are related to the owners appeal. I always want to please people with what I do, that brings me the greatest joy in my life. |
